Materiaprima è un collettivo di designers che si propone come obiettivo un uso più attento della materia attraverso un percorso di produzione artigianale. Valorizzare la materia prima significa pensare ad oggetti che rispettino ed esaltino le peculiarità fisiche e non solo estetiche del materiale, ma anche progettare evitando eccessivi scarti di lavorazione avendo un rapporto più personale con il processo progettuale e artigianale in tutte le sue fasi.
In questa occasione Materiaprima presenta dei progetti che nascono dal dialogo tra designer e falegname, che hanno come tema il legno e le sue varie fasi di lavorazione.
Materiaprima is a collective of designers sharing the objective to make a more careful usage of raw materials, achieved through a process of handcrafted production. Giving value to raw materials means thinking a product that respects and highlights the physical features and not only the aesthetic aspects of materials, and also designing more efficiently by avoiding waste and having a more personal relationship with every step of the design and handcrafted process.
In this event, from a dialogue between designers and woodworkers, Materiaprima presents different projects whose common theme is wood and its various processing steps.
